The Rock Room and the lounge are yours for the block, with nobody else booked in. Bring your guitar and your pedalboard. Full volume after 5 pm, rehearsals until 10 pm. 2-hour minimum, no tiers, no peak-hour pricing.

Most LA rehearsal rooms rent you four walls and charge extra for a kit. Everything below is standing in the live room when you walk in, at no additional cost.
Mapex drum kit
Set up, tuned and mic'd — kick, snare, toms, overheads, room pair. Bring sticks, and your own snare and cymbals if you're precious about them.
Fender Mustang LT50
The house guitar amp. There's one, so a second guitarist should bring their own amp.
Bass amp
Plug straight in — no need to haul a bass rig up the stairs.
PA — Mackie Micro Series 1202
A Mackie mixer with four mic inputs, and we supply Shure SM57 vocal mics, so vocals sit on top of the kit instead of under it.
Chickering baby grand (1917)
Tuned and ready. Not a stage piano — an actual grand in the corner of the live room.
How a rehearsal block works
Book the block you need
$30 an hour flat, 2-hour minimum, then hourly. Four hours is $120, eight is $240, twelve is $360. Book any open hours online and pay by card.
Turn it up
Full-band volume is welcome. We share the building with offices, so loud sets go best after 5 pm, and rehearsals run until 10 pm.
Everything's already in there
The kit is tuned, the amps are on, the PA is up, the piano is in tune. Load in with your guitar and your pedalboard and start.
Roll it into a record
If the rehearsal turns into something, you're already in the room where it gets tracked — book a recording session with our engineer for the next block.
Suite 219 is upstairs and there’s no elevator, so pack light. We’ll help you carry. Bringing your own engineer to record instead? That’s $40/hr.

That’s the Rock Room and the lounge with the backline, booked and paid online. Bands that rehearse every week pay less with bulk room-only hours, and a membership’s engineer hours can be spent on rehearsals too.

Memberships bill monthly and unused hours roll over. Bulk hours are one payment and never expire.

- How much is rehearsal space in Los Angeles at Paradise?
- A flat $30 an hour for the Rock live room and the lounge, with the full backline and the PA, and a 2-hour minimum. The Rainforest vocal room and the recording gear stay locked. No tiers, no peak-hour surcharge, and nobody else booked in while you play.
- Do you offer a deal for bands that rehearse every week?
- $30 an hour is already the lowest rate we sell, so there is no weekly tier to buy into — it is the same price on a Tuesday afternoon and a Saturday night. Book the same slot week to week online and it is yours; tell us if you want a standing block and we will hold it.
- Do I need to bring a drum kit or amps?
- You don't need a kit, a guitar amp or a bass amp — the Mapex kit stays set up and tuned, and there's a Fender Mustang LT50 guitar amp and a bass amp in the room. The PA is a Mackie Micro Series 1202 with four mic inputs, and we supply Shure SM57s for vocals. We don't lend instruments, so bring your guitars, bass, pedals and sticks. With two guitarists, the second should bring an amp.
- Can we actually play loud?
- Yes — full-band volume is fine. We're a converted office suite, so the best time to go loud is after 5 pm, once the offices around us have cleared out. Rehearsals run until 10 pm every night, so a 7–10 pm block is the latest you can book.
- Can we record the rehearsal?
- Not on a rehearsal booking — $30 an hour buys the Rock Room and the backline, and the recording gear stays locked. If you want the session tracked, book a recording session with our engineer, or rent the room and bring your own engineer — the whole studio with the rig live at $40 an hour on the rentals page.
- Is there parking and easy load-in?
- We're at 1505 4th St in downtown Santa Monica, two blocks off the Promenade, in Suite 219 upstairs. There's no elevator, so plan on carrying gear up the stairs. There's street and structure parking around the block, and we'll help you get gear upstairs.
- How far ahead do we need to book?
- Same-week is usually fine, and weekends fill first. Book any open hours online and pay by card in one go — the rate is the rate whether it's a Tuesday afternoon or a Saturday night.
