How a podcast session works
Pick a block
Hourly with a 2-hour minimum, or the two-hour Episode Block if you know how long your show runs. Shows on a schedule take the Four-Pack and keep the same slot every week.
Walk in to a set room
An operator has levels, room tone and headphone mixes dialed before you sit down. You don't touch a knob unless you want to.
Bring your guests
Up to three mics on the table, a couch for whoever's waiting, and one address to send every guest to. Downtown Santa Monica, two blocks off the Promenade.
Leave with the files
Edit-ready files delivered the same day, for your editor or for ours if you'd rather hand it off. Ask about mixing when you book.

- How much does it cost to rent a podcast studio in Los Angeles?
- Across LA, podcast rooms run roughly $50 to $200 an hour depending on whether an operator and video are included. At Paradise it is $95 an hour with an operator on the session and a two-hour minimum, or $225 for a two-hour Episode Block with same-day files. Shows that record weekly take the Four-Pack: four Episode Blocks for $800, which works out to $200 a session.
- Is an engineer or operator included?
- Yes, on every podcast booking. They set levels and room tone before you arrive, ride the session, and hand you the files afterwards. You do not need to know anything about audio to sound good here.
- How many people can record at once?
- Up to three mics on the table. The Rainforest Room is built for voices and seats a host plus two guests comfortably, with a lounge for anyone waiting to go on.
- What microphones do you use for podcasts?
- Shure SM7Bs for most voices — the standard broadcast mic — and a Manley Reference Gold tube condenser when a host wants a bigger, more intimate sound. Everything runs through API preamps into a UAD Apollo, so the raw files already sound finished.
- Do I get the files the same day?
- Yes. Episode Blocks and Four-Packs include same-day delivery of edit-ready files. If you want us to edit or mix the episode as well, mention it when you book and we'll quote it alongside the session.
- Where are you and is there parking?
- 1505 4th St, Suite 219, in downtown Santa Monica — two blocks off the Third Street Promenade. There is street and structure parking around the block, and an elevator up to the studio. We are open 9 am to 2 am every day, so evening and late-night recordings are easy.
- Can I rent the room without an operator?
- You can rent the whole studio without a staff engineer for $50 an hour on the studio rental page. Most podcasters take the operator — it is the difference between running a show and running a mixer.
